Smeraglia Kennel is the Founder of the English Goldendoodle.
We are committed to the development and research of our ENGLISH Goldendoodles.
Our English Goldendoodles are produced by breeding a very specific line of beautiful
English Goldens to a very specific line ofPoodles. These Special Poodle lines will best
compliment the built of our Goldens. We call it our secret Formula.
There is so much more to our breeding program than breeding a Golden to a Poodle, we
have a very strict criteria for the dogs that we breed, that's what makes our English
"TeddyBear" Goldendoodles so special. Every breeder has their own look within each
breed, we breed for Heads , Bone Substance and temperament. It is important to know the
difference between a light American Golden and a European “English” Golden. See my
English Goldens. The temperament of our Parent dogs are very different; they are much
for more laid back, and very calm. Our English Goldens have a different bone structure
and a softer coat type, most are ultra cream colored.
We desire to produce a very blocky headed, Golden Retriever like doodle, with less
emphasis on the Poodle like the dogs pictures here.
Our Foundation English Golden parents were imported from Europe and have very blocky
heads, lots of bone, they are a bit shorter, with a broader chest, and they compliment the
sleek, narrow headed Poodle. We believe this combination produces a Goldendoodle that
has a beautiful blocky "extreme" Teddy Bear looking Head, with less shedding than the
American or part English Goldendoodles that we have produced. When we breed our soft
coated English Goldens for F1 Goldendoodles, we have actually had non-shedding F1
Goldendoodles, such as; Lilly, Lulu, Louie, Leena.
