If youâve been following along, you know that Fletcher is everyoneâs favorite fluffy heartthrob. đžâ¨ Today was his weekly grooming session, and it was extra fun because our amazing new groomers, Joe & Alyssa, got to work their magic with one of our favorite whitening shampoos!
Whitening shampoos are a must-have for our lighter-colored Doodles, and today, Fletcher got the full brightening treatmentâcomplete with that signature purple lather! If youâve never seen a whitening shampoo in action before, you might be surprised at how bold the color looks before itâs rinsed. But donât worryâthis is totally normal, and once the shampoo is rinsed and dried, Fletcherâs coat will be looking fresh, bright, and absolutely stunning!

Meet Joe & Alyssa â Our Grooming Dream Team!
We are loving having Joe & Alyssa as part of our grooming team! Not only are they incredibly talented, but theyâre also engaged and getting married this Decemberâhow sweet is that?! â¤ď¸
These two have recently launched their own mini grooming business, and right now, theyâre fine-tuning their skills here with us. Theyâve already become some of the best groomers weâve ever had, and we couldnât be more excited to have them on board.
Today, they got to work with Pooch Bright Brightening Shampoo, a staple in our grooming routine for lighter-colored coats. Itâs always fun to see how this shampoo transforms a coat from dull to dazzling!
⸝
Why Use a Whitening Shampoo?
For light-colored Doodles like Fletcher, a good whitening shampoo is a game changer! It helps:
âď¸ Brighten and enhance that gorgeous cream-colored coat
âď¸ Remove stains from dirt, drool, and everyday play
âď¸ Keep their coat looking fresh without over-washing
One thing to rememberâmost whitening shampoos have a purple or blue tint, which is what neutralizes any yellowing in the coat. This means that during the lathering process, your pup might look a little extra colorful for a few minutesâbut thatâs all part of the magic!
⸝
How to Use Pooch Bright Whitening Shampoo
Joe & Alyssa followed the labelâs directions, which say:
đ Step 1: Dilute the shampoo (Itâs a 20:1 concentrateâso a little goes a long way!)
đ Step 2: Wet the coat thoroughly before applying
đ Step 3: Apply shampoo and work it into a rich lather
đ Step 4: Let it sit for 3-5 minutes to work its brightening magic
đ Step 5: Rinse thoroughlyâuntil the water runs clear
đ Step 6: Follow up with a conditioner for an ultra-soft, fluffy finish
This process ensures that the coat stays bright, soft, and perfectly cleanâwhich is exactly what we love to see on Fletcher!
⸝
How Often Should You Use It?
Whitening shampoos are fantastic, but they arenât meant for every bath!
âď¸ Every 2-3 months is the perfect frequency to keep a light-colored coat bright without over-drying it.
âď¸ Used in the right rotation, it helps maintain that fresh, clean, polished look.
